Hello, my name is Phillip Cogger. I am a writer and musician whose blog meanders through music, film, food and fiction, as well as aspects of my life. The only sport I will probably ever talk about is badminton, maybe table tennis, possibly tennis. Otherwise, I know nothing about the big English football epidemic, and I always franticly sip beer when football comes up in conversation.
Here I am, immortalised on a drum set.
I have travelled to many places including Japan, South Korea, Dubai and the northernmost parts of America. I am also proud to have been to Banff, Alberta in Canada. I love train journeys through unfamiliar towns and cities, it’s wonderfully surreal.
I have been writing fiction for the last five years, and I recently finished an MA in Creative and Life Writing at Goldsmiths, University of London. For the most part, my life has been taken up with social media, copy-writing, editing and music related work. I mainly write short stories, flash fiction and journalism. I am also writing a novel about music and musicians. I have published two pieces of flash fiction which can be found here: http://www.metazen.ca/?p=12959
I have also written for The Independent:
